R. Elizabeth Katzki Two Days on $2.50 a Day Eating on $2.50 a day was nearly impossible. The more I tried to think about what I should eat and how to plan it, the hungrier I got. I ended up not eating much towards the end of the day because I would eat too for much breakfast and a little bit less for lunch and I skipped dinner the first day. The first day, I ate a z-bar, which I thought would be worth the 75 cents, but turned out to be a waste, because I just got hungrier later because I ate breakfast.
