Moczygemba Brandon May 3, 2006 Personal Reaction Paper #3 PSY 2311 Contraception and Abortion The topic of contraception and abortion has been a very highly debated topic over the past few years and rightly so. My view on contraception is that I think it is a very good thing in almost every intimate relationship. There are two mains of contraception being used today and they are condoms and birth control pills or patches. Condoms are a very good type of contraception because not only to they greatly reduce the risk of unwanted pregnancies; they also greatly reduce the risk of getting an STD and passing the STD on to someone else. My views on abortion are mixed. having a child are life altering, The consequences of especially for a teenager. The obvious pro of choosing abortion is that your life can basically continue as it was going before your pregnancy. teenager A would not have to drop out of school I also believe that if to get a job to support the child. you make the mistake of having unprotected sex and getting pregnant that abortion is not the right thing to do. though getting pregnant is life altering, there Even is no reason why you should kill any child for a mistake that you made. The only situation I see abortion being humane is in Brandon Moczygemba May 3, 2006 Personal Reaction Paper #3 PSY 2311 cases of rape. If a girl gets raped and gets pregnant and chooses to have an abortion is humane in my beliefs because she did not willingly have unprotected sex. In conclusion, my belief on contraception is that it is a very good thing for many reasons. However, my view on The only abortion is that it is inhumane in most cases. situation that I see it as being humane is in cases of rape.
