Fitness3 Fitness Is THE CURE! Disease is a prominent figure in today's society. Everywhere you go there is evidence of disease. Adds in magazines for medicines, commercials on television for medicine, and people that are grotesquely overweight are samples of the diseases that are rapidly spreading across our nation. Most of the diseases are life threatening and are close to impossible to treat. The main forms of disease in our society today are lifestyle diseases. These diseases are often caused by how people live. There is a risk of getting these diseases even if you try to live as healthily as you possibly can. Three of the most common lifestyle diseases are diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. The main forms of treatment for these diseases are received prescriptions from a doctor. If you were to ask most people would agree that prescriptions are the only way to treat these diseases. However, Phil Kaplan does not believe this is true. He believes that exercise can help defeat these diseases. He does not disrepute them. He knows that there are cases in which medicine is the only way to overcome these illnesses. I agree with Kaplan concept of how to cure disease, or at least lifestyle diseases. Exercise may not cure a disease entirely but it will help, and in some cases actually cure the disease. Most cures for a disease a based on the simple concept of mind over matter. If you believe that something will work then it will. No one can be entirely certain as to how much lifestyle disease will be diminished in our future. However, there are ways to counter the effects of them through fitness. Obesity can be treated through an exercise by causing the person to lose the extra weight that is making them hard for them to live. Exercise can also help treat cardiovascular
