BIOL 605 Texts: Scientific Integrity 3rd edition. by Francis L. Macrina, 2005 Reading List: Additional articles are listed below Course Requirements: Description Two 100 point exams Homework assignments case studies Class discussion leading discussion general participation Class Project Total points Points 200 100 100 100 100 600 Attendance: You are expected to attend all regularly scheduled classes. In addition, you will write a one-page review on the case studies that are assigned to you (one page each), and hand it in as homework at the beginning of class. You will then be responsible for leading the discussion on the cases during class. Everyone will be judged on their input during the discussions of the all of the cases (i.e. participation grade). Class Project: The class will work in small committees on projects concerning bioethics topics. More information will be provided by the instructor. Your grade for the project will be based on your contribution to the committees work (leadership, project work, written report, and oral presentation of the report).
