Students will be given applied experiences in selected public or private organizations in the community or in campus-related programs to make use of their GIS training. Students are expected to find their own practicum, and require the program coordinators approval. GIS Majors should enroll in GEOG 3398. III. Justification for Change We are updating the course description to reflect the changes in geospatial technology. Program coordinators approval will ensure practicum is appropriate for student. We are changing the prerequisite from GEOG 4405 to GEOG 4410 and permission of instructor. We have found students perform better after having completed GEOG 4410.
