Additionally, students are expected to have minimal competency in computer applications, not the least of which are word processing, data base, spread sheet, and Internet usage. Students must know how to send attachments by email assignments to be submitted by email will NOT be accepted in hard copy. For details on attendance rules as approved by Texas A&M University, see http://studentrules.tamu.edu/rule7.htm 3 Grades: Grades in TEFB 404 will be assigned on the following basis Grade of A = at least 94% of points available Grade of B = between 86% and 93.9% of points available Grade of C = between 75% and 85.9% of points available Grade of D = fewer than 74.9% of points available The point value of each assignment and the grading criteria for each assignment will be given with the assignment, as well as the due date and time for the assignment. Some assignments will be submitted electronically for such assignments, the time and date signature on the email used to submit the assignment will be considered the time the assignment is submitted. Late Assignments: Assignments which are not submitted by the due date and time, will be assessed a penalty of 10% reduction per day (assignments due at the beginning of a class period are considered late if not ready for submission at the beginning of the class and will be assessed the one-day penalty, even if submitted at the end of that class period). After 5 days, an assignment will be considered not submitted and will receive no points. Assignments which cannot be completed because of an excused absence will be accepted according to the guidelines of Section 7.5 of the rules on attendance see web site noted above. Students must know how to send attachments by email assignments to be submitted by email will NOT be accepted in hard copy. Students are expected to regularly read their NEO account email (or have made arrangements for mail to be forwarded from the NEO account).
