Recommendation Positioning This paper provides a positioning Recommendation for Samsung electronics. BACKGROUND: Samsung brand is a product of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. This brand provides everything from cellular phones and televisions to cameras and home appliances and provides homes with the benefits of enhancing entertainment and making tasks more efficiently executed. To compete in this fast paced technology era, Samsung stays ahead of the game with cutting edge technology while the product is durable and affordable for homes and businesses to use every day. Unceasing product innovations, which inferior brands strive to keep up with, support claims for Samsung brand to a target audience of average Americans who want a quality product to make balancing work and leisure more efficient and rewarding. RECOMMENDATION: To Americans who want to make life's tasks easier and enhance at-home entertainment, Samsung brand electronics is the brand of cutting edge technology that provides reliability and quality of life. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: 1. Positioning targets those are who at the top of the technology era, possessing the best of the best electronics. To be ahead of the game is also desired by the company. 2. Positioning addresses the consumers drive to keep up with the fast-forward life-style we live in today while stressing the importance of leisure, which Samsung does with constant innovation of many types of products (i.e. home entertainment systems, cell phones with GPS and e-mail, appliances, etc.). 3. Positioning emphasizes a quality product so consumers feel they make a good investment. What is cutting edge today will last for years ahead when inferior companies manufacture similar products. By then the product may not be cutting edge, but still top of the line. 4. Positioning separates Samsung from inferior electronics companies. DISCUSSION: America is made of working class citizens where leisure time is limited. Those who value every minute of relaxation in a busy lifestyle will find great appreciation for Samsung's innovative electronics and undoubtedly pay for a quality product to enhance every day experiences.
