Lenora 1000 Street Seattle WA 98121 206.726.5151 www.cornish.edu FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 6, 2003 CORNISH COLLEGE DANCE BFA CONCERTS Choreography and Performances by Graduating Dance Students SEATTLE, WA Cornish College of the Arts announces the debut of its newest crop of choreographers and performers, whose work will be showcased in the Dance BFA Concerts. Performances will be held on February 26-29 at the Broadway Performance Hall. These concerts are free and open to the public, but tickets are required for admission. The Dance BFA Concerts represent the culminating work of students graduating from the Cornish College Dance Department, introducing Seattle audiences to an emerging generation of choreographers and dancers. An eclectic array of dance styles and viewpoints will be represented, ranging from performance art to modern dance, as well as ballet, jazz and hip hop. The concert series will also include performances of works commissioned from professional guest choreographers including Eric Clothier, Kim Gockel, Tonya Lockyer, Wade Madsen, Ricki Mason, Crispin Spaeth, and Deborah Wolf. Three different programs will be shown, as scheduled below: Program 1: Program 2: Program 3: February 26-27, 8 pm February 28, 2 pm and 8 pm February 29, 2 pm and 8 pm These concerts feature the work of the prospective graduates of the dance department: Andrew Ball, Bianca Cabrera, Arielle Clarke, Randi Courtmanch, Rainbow Fletcher, Rachel Hamilton, Courtney Harris, Kirsten Jorgensen, Linzee Kezer, Stephanie Koltiska, Gwen Maksym, Oceane McCord, Angela Smith, Kadee Stotler, Jewel Tweten-Donnelly, Kate Walker, Sean Watson, Megan Williams, and Tukwila Zimmerman.
