Exercise Segmentation For this exercise use the MCMS.sav data file on the course website. 1. Create the following: Respondents with incomes up to $30K (not more than $30K) Respondents with incomes from $20K up to $50K (not more than $50K) Respondents with incomes from $35K up to $75K (not more than $75K) Respondents with incomes from $50K up to $100K (not more than $100K) Respondents with incomes of $75K and up 2. 3. 4. Last Revision: 11/6/07 Run an analysis with the income groups as the influencer and Q4b as the influenced. Create a report quality table for the analysis in step #2. We might expect the column percentages in the table created in steps #2 and #3 to have a similar pattern as the valid percentages in the frequency analysis for Q4b: the highest percentages appearing for responses of disagree or agree . Write a brief paragraph describing the results of the analysis with particular attention to the pattern of responses. Overall, a nearly equal proportion of respondents disagree (43%) or agree (41%) that they are overwhelmed by all the sources of information available today. However, as annual income increases, the share of respondents who disagree with the statement also increases. For example, in the highest income group ($75,000 a year or more), more than half (56%) disagree that they are overwhelmed. In contrast, slightly more than one-third (35%) of the lowest income group reported feeling overwhelmed by too many information sources.
