UNIVERSITY LOYOLA CHICAGO Your Link to Bene ts and Payroll Information Lawson Employee Self Service Your Link to Bene ts and Payroll Information This user guide shows how to access your bene ts and payroll information through Lawson Employee Self-Service. If you have any questions you may contact Human Resources at (312)915-6175. Getting Into Lawson Employee Self-Service Lawson Self-Service can be accessed from any campus computer through the Human Resources webpage. From the Loyola website at http://www.luc.edu Step 1. Click on the Human Resources Link. 1 Accessing the Lawson Employee Self-Service System Step 2. Click on Employee Self Service. Accessing Lawson Employee Self-Service from Outside Loyola s Network 2 To access Lawson Employee Self-Service from outside of Loyola s network, you will need a Virtual Private Network (VPN) account. VPN accounts are available at no charge for all Loyola faculty and staff. To obtain a VPN account, contact the Technology Support Center at 4-4444 or 773-508-7190. Once your account is set-up, follow the instructions at http://www.luc.edu/its/ vpn.shtml to install, con gure and use your VPN account. Forgot your network ID and password? Please contact Information Services: (773)508-7190 Or EXT. 4-4444 from a campus phone. Step 3. Enter Login Information. 3 Use your network ID (username and password used to log into work computer) to login to Lawson Employee Self Service. Step 4. Click OK. 4 5 Step 5. Click on Employee. Click on this link to view bene ciary, dependent, leave balances, paycheck information and view/edit bene ciary information. Bene ts Allows employees to view current bene ts and view/edit bene ciary information. Dependents Allows employees to input dependent information. Leave Balances Click, to nd your accrued holiday, sick and vacation. Pay Allows employees to view and print current + ytd information on paychecks. Bene ts Handbook Allows employees to view current Bene ts Handbook. Bene ts Enrollment Allows employees to enroll and change bene t selections during Open Bene Enrollment. ts Dependents Leave Balances Pay Bene ts Handbook Bene ts Enrollment Dependent Information Step 1. Adding Dependent Information Eligible dependents are de ned as: Spouse/LDA Dependent Children up to age 23 Disabled Children You are required to enter all your dependents even if they are not enrolled in your selected bene ts. It is your responsibility to provide Human Resources with dependent information on ALL your eligible dependents, even if you do not enroll your dependents in the University s bene ts. 1 Dependent Information Step 2. Adding Dependent Information Enter all dependent information into the elds provided. Once you have added the dependent information click on the update button. Continue adding all other dependents in this manner. 2 3 Step 3. Review & Edit Information Please review all dependent information displayed. Change any inaccurate information. Viewing & Editing Bene ciary Information 1 Step 1. Select Bene ts from the main screen. Viewing & Editing Bene ciary Information 2 Step 2. Click on Bene ciary Please note: If the blue diamond does not show on your record, you do not have a designated bene ciary on le. The bene ciary you designate will be the same for both the basic life coverage and the supplemental life coverage. The employee is automatically the bene ciary of any spouse or child life insurance. Accessing Payroll Information Step 1. Select Pay from the Employee Menu 1 Step 2. Select Pay Checks 2 Accessing Payroll Information Step 3. Access Payment Information 3 All payments for the past year will now be available. Pay information is sorted by payment date (most current listed rst). To access detailed pay information, click on the diamond shape in the details column to the left of the date you wish to view. You can nd detailed instructions at the Financial Services Website: http://www.luc.edu/ nance/fsdoc.shtml Click on the View Check Stub prompt located at the top of the Detail page to access a printable format of the check stub.
