Directions for use
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Read all Directions for Use carefully before applying. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application. For any requirements specific to your state or tribe, consult the agency responsible for pesticide regulation. General Information Kerb 50-W herbicide is effective for the control and/or suppression of undesirable grasses. seedling NOTE: Due to the close proximity of native prairie remnants to agricultural areas and the potential for these areas to be adversely affected by herbicides through drift or possible runoff/soil movement, Kerb 50-W should not be applied directly to native prairie habitats. It is recommended that dosage rates be maintained at the lower end of the use rate range (if effective seedling control can be achieved) in a further effort to lessen potential impacts to endangered species. Weeds Controlled (Suppression) Kerb 50-W will provide preemergence and postemergence control/suppression of the following seedling weeds when used according to label directions: Bromus Species Wild Oat Annual Ryegrass Volunteer Orchardgrass Bromus species Avena species Lolium multiflorum Dactylis glomerata.
Application Rate Apply a single application of Kerb 50-W at a rate of 0.5 to 0.75 lb (0.25 to 0.375 lb ai) per acre for preemergence and postemergence control/suppression of undesirable seedling grasses in established orchardgrass fields that have produced at least one seed crop. Application should be made during the fall or early winter months (November through mid-January), once the fall rains have moistened the soil and the soil temperature is 55F or less. Applications must be completed by mid-January. Do not apply more than 0.75 lb (0.375 lb ai) of Kerb 50-W per acre during any one season.
