Emphasis is placed on developing and understanding the state competencies for business, which are divided into four categories: 1. Business Foundations 2. Business Management 3. Technology Systems 4. Business Finance and Economics Part 2: The Assessment of the Basic Use of Computers Students majoring in Business Education are required to take these courses: 1. CMSC 1103 Microcomputer Applications 2. MIS 4413 Management Information Systems 3. ECOM 2013 Web Programming I 4. ECOM 3003 Telecommunications These courses are part of their major requirements. Students may choose to take additional computer science or E-Commerce classes as electives.
