My thesis: After the 60 years of independence from the British Colonial rule the country has faced 38 years of military rule. Approach to the subject of my paper: This paper will talk about the individual and cumulative reasons of failure of democracy in Pakistan. It will discuss the role of public, politicians and other high profile personalities who affect the politics of the region. It will also take a brief look on the history of the region during the British rule. Intended audience: Documentation Style: I will use the MLA format to document works the cited Kinds of sources I will use: I will use books on political history of the region both before and after independence. Websites, QC library archives for journals, online archives of news papers. For current events I will use New York Times and economist as sources. Other than the above mentioned sources I will use my understanding of the people, politicians, culture, religion, history and current political scenario of the country.
