Traditional mediums include a portfolio, brochure, direct-mail pieces, and any other original piece that can carry the quality of one s work to a potential client. With the advent of the Internet, a self-promotional website becomes an effective medium to house an easily accessible portfolio. Photoshop allows a designer to develop attractive, static websites in almost no time. ASSIGNMENT Design a self-promotion website for yourself. Include samples of your best work! REQUIREMENTS Select 10-15 of your best pieces (include the files worked in all your Photoshop classes). Develop an original website to house your portfolio. The site must be developed entirely in Photoshop. You must have the following webpages: MAIN PAGESIntroductory Index page- An introductory page with an animation and a link to the Home page. Home page- The Main page, a provides brief overview of your site and links to the content pages. About page- A page with personal information about you- a short bio, education, job experience, and/or a link to your resume (if you d like). Portfolio page- Page with links to your work samples. Develop a navigation system to browse through your workyou are welcome to categorize it any way you d like. Contact page- A page with contact information (e-mail, address, phone). Be sure to have a navigation system that allows a user to quickly access any page in your site! You must develop a visual hierarchy that has as its primary focus the visual and then the accompanying info. Make sure all pieces belong together! Research and conceptualize what would be needed to successfully accomplish the task. PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS You will turn in the following: A folder containing your working site. I will upload this working website to the faculty server. MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS Suggested size for web: Aim for a 800px X 600px monitor resolution. Document size: 640 px X 480 px
