CANCER: A large group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth (proliferation) and spread of abnormal cells.
Due to significant and recurrent injuries to specific cells that
occur over an extended period of time (DNA injury). Injured cells replicate (split) mutated/injured to produce growing mass of abnormal cells.
Malignant or Cancer cells are undifferentiated Cancer cells are not subject to normal cell growth
and replication (contact) controls.
Contrasted inhibitory with Benign growth of cells that are highly
differentiated and under normal inhibition of growth
Cancer:

Undifferentiated cell growth
Metastasis
Occurs when normal processes that halt cell division break down and cells begin dividing out of control.
