These instructions explain how to access the instructor report for the CLIPS standard diagnostic test and course lessons.
Pretest Reports
As instructors, you now have access to a multi-part report for the CLIPS pretests that includes your students individual scores and the class averages on each grammar concept tested. Though you may have your students turn in printouts of their test reports, the instructor report will list all of the students scores in alphabetical order and give you more information on the general issues that your class needs work on.
Steps to Access the Instructor Reports
These steps outline how to enter the CLIPS program, logon as an instructor, and find your class reports. 1. Enter the CLIPS program by going to http://webclips.byu.edu 2. Click on the CLIPS Tests and Tutorials link. 3. Logon by using your instructor username and password, which will both be your first and last name as it appears on AIM (Firstname Lastname).

Once you are logged on as an instructor, click on the Instructor Menu button.
You will see a list of options for instructors, including buttons that allow you to see your students progress in the program or a final report of your entire classs work in CLIPS.
Diagnostic Test Reports
1. If you are checking the test diagnostic report, click on the Standard Pretest Report. a. You should also look at the 115 Pretest report in case some of your students accidentally took the wrong test. After clicking on the Diagnostic Test Report button, a list will appear with all of the courses you are teaching. Click on the class whose test report you wish to see. The report should appear as a web page including the following information:
a. b. c. Each students scores and percentages. Class scores overall according to question category (i.e. Sexist Usage, Commas, Capitalization, etc.). Class scores overall for each question.
