Fox and Bare residence halls are in the process of receiving new heating and air conditioning units in each room, which will enable students to control the temperature setting. To accommodate the new units, each building also is getting new windows and upgraded electrical systems. Previously, each hall had 200 amps of electricity; after the upgrade, each will have 2,000 amps, a necessary improvement for the new heating and air conditioning window units. The final New Student Registration day will be held Aug. 21. In addition to registering for classes and meeting faculty, students learned how to access their student information through the UF Web site and how to manage and use the OilerOne identification card. They also had the opportunity to speak with representatives from a variety of areas on campus. Parents attended sessions to learn more about UF, billing procedures and what to expect during their students first year at college. The Findlay/Hancock County Habitat for Humanity affiliate, in partnership with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and The Shelly Co., began building the Foraker Avenue home June 7.
