I am Chairing the Social Studies Review for NCATE and PDE and the lead writer for the Program Review for Secondary Social Studies. Along with the above, I have served on several search committees( Curriculum and Instruction, Language Arts, Temporary Faculty), the Evaluation Committee, the Equipment Committee, the Graduate Committee, the Tenure Committee and Promotion Committee. Also at the departmental level, I have designed pamphlets for summer school courses, revised four syllabi for NCATE, helped rewrite the secondary social studies check sheet, volunteered for residual registration, participated in group advisement meetings, written five course and/or summer three credit workshops, led department Strategic Planning, Met with NCATE Continuing Accreditation Team, Worked with faculty and teachers to establish a Professional Develop School. College Level--Member of Faculty Professional Development Committee since 1995, Member of Search Committee for Dean, Worked to recruit and place student teachers overseas (1998-2000), Organized and wrote grant for Faculty Workshop on Preparing our students to take the National Teacher Exam, Sept. 2000, Served on Selection Committee for Outstanding Student Teachers (1999), Visited Palm Beach County Schools and met with administrators to set up student teaching opportunities.
