A Leadership Challenge
Its no secret. There is a leadership challenge brewing in Iowa as the number of people willing to step into leadership positions declines. Civic and service organizations are shrinking as past leaders get worn out and new leaders cant be found or someone reluctantly steps forward at the last minute. Reluctant leadersdrafted leadersunchallenged leaders may eventually become great leaders. But there is a better way.
The content focus is on helping participants to better understand themselves and others to build effective work teams and learning how to improve communication skills. The program also studies differences in management and leadership styles, and key elements of effective leadership.

The program is offered through Iowa State University Extension Community and Economic Development. ISU Extension has skilled educators experienced in helping Iowans achieve their greatest potential. Specialists who understand the needs of Iowa communities developed this leadership series and serve as instructors. Each Developing Dynamic Leaders session includes a combination of research-based instruction and dynamic group interaction. Participants will share ideas and network with other leaders in this fastpaced educational setting.
