Show Infatuation & Love Power Point (20 minutes) 3. Assignment: Infatuation vs. Love Poster 1) find two pictures showing infatuation 2) find two pictures showing love 3) explain why each picture represents infatuation or love i. need at least one sentence justifying each picture ii. EXAMPLE: for a picture of a little girl and her dad you would say, "This is an example of Storgay love between a father and his daughter."
iii. EXAMPLE: for a picture of puppies and Cottenelle toilet paper you would say, "This is infatuation be cause the love is only going one way. The puppies love the toilet paper, but the toilet paper doesn't love the puppies back." 4) Write the differences between infatuation real and love Need at least two examples Does not have to be in complete sentences Closure: What are two main differences between love and infatuation? Assessment: The students will demonstrate understanding by their ability to identify and explain pictures that represent infatuation and love. They will acknowledge the difference between the two by stating ways they differ. Also I can gauge understanding by their worksheets. Adaptations: I could provide a handout of the PowerPoint to students who might not be able to follow along as quickly as the rest of the class. Also I could have them only answer a select number of questions from the accompanying worksheet. Self-evaluation: This lesson worked really well. Students were able apply what they learned with the posters. I was able to capture my student's attention with the power point. They did well with the worksheet and posters and seemed to understand the differences between love and infatuation. They learned the main ideas an had fun in the process. Overall this is a great lesson.
