Introduction: This paper Approach: The paper examines the use of epidemic algorithms for communication in P2P networks. It analyses how the use of parameters b(buffer capacity), t(forwarding iterations) and f(fan-out) could be used to adapt the epidemic schemes as per the requirements to achieve desired performance measure. Analysis: There are fundamental issues while using any dissemination approach in networks, which are brought to fore buy this paper: i) Membership: The issue is about how to determine the group of processes to which the information is to be forwarded. If there would be groups to which the process would be associated how to ensure reliability that every processes in the network gets the data(information). One approach could be to meet scalability requirement through membership integration and the information for the same could be piggybacked. A glaring question here is, how much overhead in terms of network traffic does the piggybacking approach put on the real-data. Besides this, the overhead to process membership information, when the network size exponentially increasing is an important issue to deal with. The of performance traffic dissemination scheme with adaptive measures as per the network membership dynamics is to be statistically examined. ii) Network Awareness and Buffer Management: It changes as per the topological view of the network and change in nodes from wireline to wireless. Besides optimization of network traffic, buffer management is critical to have consistent state of group memberships/processes in the network nodes. Agebased prioritization as well as application semantics could be used to determine drop the messages and optimize buffer usage. iii) Message Filtering: The question here is whether it's required to disseminate the all messages through out the network.
