Money 26,000 32,000,000,000 Making in the Wedding Industry The Wedding industry is RECESSION PROOF and HIGHLY PROFITABLE. There are three main ways to bank on the wedding industry: Consultation Gown distribution Jewelry vending Consultation: Least-risk Easy option to start Lots of demand Low staff needs Inexpensive to start Only need about between $2000-$3000 to start such a business FACT The average wedding consultant makes $3000 per wedding. (so your initial business investment is paid off in one wedding!) Bridal Consultants who make a good name make well over $100,000 per year. Bridal Gowns: Higher-risk option More difficult startup, but can be maintained once broken into More difficult to start: need references and either custom Bridal Gowns (continued) Average sale price for a designer accessories: $2,000-$3,000. Average dress and spent on a non-designer dress and accessories: $1800. Multiple types of gowns for sale: FACT Average salary of a manager of a successful bridal store is around $50,000. Owners salaries obviously vary based on location and the success of the store, but it runs WELL ABOVE the managers salary. Jewelry Vendor: Most Most risky Costly Between $10,000 and $20,000 to start. Biggest returns: Lots of ways to diversify: Bridal Jewelry and general fine FACT One account of a successful jeweler states that annual sales came to $500,000, 50% of that number coming directly from engagement ring sales. Conclusion: The wedding industry is recession-proof, and these three areas (Consultation, Gown Sales, and Jewelry vending) are three of the best sectors of this $32,000,000,00 0
