individual An is made of what he or she is in different aspects of their life. One of the most important characteristics is their communication. There are many ways in which individuals can communicate. These can either be public speaking, interpersonal communication, group communication, or organizational communication. Communication skills not only relieve your fears of speaking in front of an audience but also help you become more confident. Many people want to improve their communication for their own benefit so that they are able to communicate more effectively during job interviews etc. Every individual's communication skills may vary and therefore they will choose accordingly which areas need further improvement. For me the most important part of communication is public speaking because it will help me in other areas as well. Public speaking is a process in which you address a large group of people for example meetings, or presenting projects. I would like to improve this as it has diverse effects and can help me improve in other areas of my communication due to the gain of confidence and exposure. An example of an area that it may help is my interpersonal communication skills. These personal reasons are making friends or trying to communicate with new people. I believe if I have the confidence address to large groups of people then I will develop the confidence have to talk with anyone. Due to moving I have lost some of my confidence, which affects my communication skills dramatically. For example going to a new country and not being able to communicate with new people which is harmful in the long run as I would not be able to get to know new people or learn about the culture norms of that society. This confidence can also affect your job. I would like to improve these skills so that they also help me during job interviews to become clearer and get my point across more effectively in order to impress the interviewer. Also I would like to improve my eye contact with the audience which will enable me to deliver my speeches etc. more confidently and display an atmosphere of confidence rather than fear. Another area I would like to improve is my stage presentation and not being afraid to do so effectively. At the end of the day having confidence is the most important part of your life. The most helpful way to increase your confidence is to learn about communication skills. In conclusion I would like to develop communication skills that will not only help me socialize but also help me speak confidently in front of professionals.
