Morris Andrea Assignment 3 Map Legend: Where I want to go Where Ive been Places Ive been: Paris Last spring my mother and I took a trip to Europe to visit my sister who was studying abroad in Seville. After traveling in Spain my sister came with us on a trip to Paris. Poland In May of 2008, I went on a trip called March of the Living. The first week takes place in Poland visiting several concentrations camps and learning about the Holocaust, followed by a week in Israel. Barcelona Last spring I went on a trip with my mom to Europe to visit my sister who was studying abroad in Seville. Before visiting her we made a stop in Barcelona where we visited Park Guell, shown in the picture. Seville Last spring my mother and I went on a trip to Europe to visit my sister who was studying abroad in Seville. The city was beautiful and it was great to get to see where she was living for the semester. My favorite sight there was the Plaza de Espana, which is shown in the picture. Israel In May of 2008, I went on a trip called March of the Living. After spending a week in Poland we went to Israel, visiting both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Israel is one of my favorite places that I have traveled to. South Africa In the summer of 2009 I went on a community service trip to Africa. We visited 3 countries including South Africa. While we were there we worked at the Sihleski Primary School, cleaning up the school grounds and working with the children. Zambia In the summer of 2009 I went on a community service trip to Africa. We visited 3 countries including Zambia. While we were there we visited many famous landmarks including Victoria Falls, one of the 8 world wonders. Botswana In the summer of 2009 I went on a community service trip to Africa. We visited 3 countries including Botswana. While we were there we went on safari in a town where the population of elephants exceeded the population of people. Wisconsin I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin. I knew that I wanted to go here after I visited the school as a freshman in high school and fell in love with State Street and the campus. New York For my whole life I lived in New York. I grew up in the suburbs but my favorite thing about where I grew up the was proximity to both the city and the beach. Turks and Caicos For the past 5 years my family has spent many weeks in Turks and Caicos. After taking our first trip there my dad loved it and decided to buy a timeshare. Ever since then we have taken many trips down there. Costa Rica In December of 2007 I went on a trip to Costa Rica with my family. I thought that it was such a cool vacation because it had both relaxing beach areas as well as adventure activities such as ATVing and places where you can play with monkeys and other animals from the rain forest. Places I want to go: Prague Recently I decided that I would love to be able to visit Prague. A friend of mine went on a trip there and told me about how amazing it was. I am hoping that when I get the chance to study abroad I will be able to go there. One thing I really want to see is the Imagine graffiti wall. Australia Ever since I was little I have wanted to go to Australia. I think that that is because it is so different than any other place. Florence Florence is another place that I would love to visit. I have never been to Italy, and it is a place that I have wanted to go to for a long time. One of my main reasons is the food, but Florence is also such a beautiful city right on the water. Russia One of my very good friends is Russian and recently went there to visit family who still lives there. Looking at pictures from her trip made me really interesting in going. The architecture in Russia is so different than anywhere I have seen and it seems like a really cool place to visit. India One of the main reasons that I want to go to India is because life in India is so drastically different than it is here and I think that it would be really interesting to see. The different tourist attractions in India such as the Tajmahal really captivate me and I would love to be able to see them some day. Thailand Thailand has always been a place that has interested me. One of the things that I really want to see is the floating market that they have there. Venders are in boats in the water and if you want to buy something you have to hail down the boat that interests you. Everything there is so different from the United States and I think it is a really interesting place.
