Using a coin toss, you assign 50 of the elementary schools to have school year round and the other 50 schools to have a threemonth summer break. At the end of August, you administer a test to determine at what grade level the students are reading. You record whether the students are reading above their grade level. You found that 97% of the students who attended school year round were reading above their grade level, whereas only 52% of students who had a three-month break were reading above their grade level. Is this an experiment? Why or why not? If this is not an experiment, please classify what this is called. Identify the hypothesis under evaluation. Identify the population in question.
