Herzig Brother Jordan Openshawr FDREL 200 T TR 11:30am 12:30pm Written Insights Paper 5 Throughout the fifth unit, one relevancy I have noticed with the readings and with The Family, A Proclamation to the World is the sacredness and unity of the covenant of marriage. In Mothers and Daughters by Elder M. Russell Ballard, he goes into greater detail of how marriage powerful and biding the covenant of marriage is between a man and a wife and how that is a huge blessing for mothers and daughters to share. I really liked how he went into how daughters should look up and be like unto their mothers. A mother is a sacred duty and should be treated as such. From these readings I gained many person revelations of what I must do in my own life. If I wish to become a god like unto my heavenly father, I must make the same covenants that he once did. I must marry in the temple and have a family and I must raise them in righteousness and teach them the ways of my heavenly father. Families are so important in this life; they are the only thing we will bring with us to the eternities. I to plan be a worthy husband and father and to ensure I am teaching my children the gospel and having the spirit in my home. Also I plan on reading scriptures with my spouse daily and having family prayer on a regular basis. I will teach the insights of the importance of family and the sacredness of the family to my future family by reading with them The Family, a proclamation to the world. I will teach them through reading the scriptures how Nephi was only successful because of his family and support through his father and brother Sam. I plan on showing them how powerful the love of a family can be by showing them love consistently and showing them I love their mother by giving her attention and making her happy. Jordan Herzig Brother Openshawr FDREL 200 T TR 11:30am 12:30pm The family is a huge blessing our heavenly father has given us in this life. We must hold our family dear to us and not let Satan influence us. If we keep the commandments and teach our family the ways of the lord we can be greatly blessed in both this life and the life to come.
