Syncopation IIIb. Tempo (The tempo was ____________.) A. Andante B. Heavy Heart slow moving IVa. timbre Timbre (The of this piece was both male and female voices.) A. Word Painting Morning breeze B. Language- Italian C. Number of Voices-SSATB D. Images of Nature IVb. Dynamics (The dynamics of this piece were ___________ to forte.) A. Mezzo forte to forte B. Terraced Dynamics- adding one voice is a step louder than the other. V. Personal Observation / Reaction Overall the piece was joyous, lots of high pitched voices. The text definitely fit the music but it was a bit overwhelming with polyphonic harmony. There was a lot of terraced dynamics in this piece which I liked. I liked the melsmatic melody and the use of repetition. It created good word painting.
