ONE SIDE Liberal Studies Program Transfer Chart East LA College PLAN H Pre Credential & ITEP Junior Option Fall 2008 to Summer 2009 The Pre Credential and the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) are designed for future elementary and special education teachers. The Pre Credential Program provides a BA degree in Liberal Studies ONLY and is best suited for students who wish to enroll in a teaching credential program after they earn their bachelor's degree. The ITEP Junior Option is for students who would like to earn their BA and credential simultaneously. All students begin in the Pre Credential Program and take the classes listed below. Students may apply to ITEP as early as their first semester at CSUN. All General Education and Title V requirements are incorporated within the major. Transfer students should not follow a California State University General Education Certification or IGETC plan. Information about admission requirements to CSUN may be obtained from the office of Admissions and Records at (818) 677 3700. Liberal Studies information may be obtained at www.csun.edu/liberalstudies or by calling (818) 677 3300. MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE TRANSFER UNITS: A maximum of 70 semester units may be transferred from community colleges. Students may exceed the 70 unit limit as long as they complete 50 units at a four year institution (30 of these 50 units must be completed at CSUN). LIBERAL STUDIES WORKSHOPS: Transfer students should complete a workshop on line by visiting http://www.csun.edu/liberalstudies/workshops.html one semester before attending CSUN. Students who have applied to CSUN and who have completed a workshop may schedule an individual appointment with an advisor after receiving an evaluation from the Liberal Studies Office.
