President Also, Ronald Reagan would have to be presented as a nation al hero because of his conservative resurgence in the 1980s and 1990s. We all know that President Ronald Reagan had a lot of bad attributes about him, and to not note them is misleading. In Texas, conservatives have been monopolizing information being placed in textbooks. Textbook publishing businesses are portrayed in this article as spineless and money-driven companies. It is stated that because Texas is one of larger their markets, they comply to what information the Texas board of education wants and does not want in the textbooks. Economic ally speaking, it is smart for them to do so; however, looking at the larger picture, one can see that changing historical information and insight from a mass produced textbook because one state is morally wrong. The textbook publishing business publishes books that the consumers de sire, and since Texas is a major market, they appeal to their desires.
