Bibliography

This is designed to help set you up for the coming academic year/s. The Bibliography will provide you with vital references for every module undertaken during this postgraduate course. Clearly, a thorough Bibliography will help with this ICA, but also with successive coursework and practice.

Your Bibliography will be split into 3 sections, Documents are provided for each section:

The students are asked to look at:

1. Construction Sector in North East
The construction cluster in northeast England: Constructing Excellence; European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions, 2005
2. IT in Construction Industry
An exploratory study of information technology evaluation and benefits management practices of SMEs in the construction industry,Peter E. D. Lovea and Zahir Iranib, Information & Management, Volume 42, Issue 1, December 2004, Pages 227-242

3. Development of Project manager Competency.
Developing project management competency: perspectives from the construction industry, F. T Edum-Fotwe* & R McCaffer, Department of Civil and Building Engineering, Loughborough University, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3TU, UK, International Journal of Project Management, Volume 18, Issue 2, April 2000, Pages 111-124

You should populate each section with appropriate references. This does not mean every reference that you find; you should be selective based on their relevance. This you will ascertain from reading the reference or the Abstract. You will choose 1 reference from each of the four sections and provide a short summary of that paper (up to 250 words). The Bibliography should be in the Harvard format.

Marks for the assessed bibliography will be distributed for the following criteria:
1. Appropriateness of references (25%)
2. Range of sources (25%)
3. Appropriate content of summaries (40%)
4. Format (10%)

The submission date for the assessed bibliography is 29th October 2010. The submission will be via Blackboard.
