Whether one day, as we know, technology will take over the world and rule us, or if people will lead the future, introduced into three scenarios to determine what is best for the future, adjustments must be made in the end. In "Prevailing OverOur Dystopias” by Joel Garreau the numerous possibilities for the future are essentially opened up, all while using great rhetorical instruments.Because people adapt and change based on technological developments, it is uncertain what scenario will eventually be selected. Three separate situations are incorporated by Garreau. Scenario A Hell, Scenario Heaven, Scenario Prevail. The Hell scenario was a horrible time when the environment and civilization would be seized by technological progress, as we know it would be dominated by machinery and nuclear disaster. The scenario for Heaven was peaceful. Anything negative was eradicated in a scene where everything was perfect. Last, the scenario for Prevail. This is the future of this case, and how things would vary from what they were before. Humans will come together in this situation to make sound choices to avoid some form of catastrophe. This is the location where the transition occurs. Instead of creating control mechanisms and being slaves to technology, people can be introduced to a transition through the [prevailing scenario].
