Week 2 - Assignment 2Strategy Card Game Design, GRATIS and Single Player PlaytestingBluffByDamian IwanowiecAAll vs AllCard Gamefor2-4PlayersAges16+Game Description:Players start with a hand of ten cards, their goal is to pick up new cards from a deck, or fromtheir opponents, until all ten of their cards share the theme they chose (colour, suit, or allnumbers from one to ten). Every four rounds, players can attempt to guess what theme aperson has. If someone correctly guesses your theme, you lose! If the guess is incorrect, theplayer who guessed must show five of their cards. The first person to obtain ten cards of theirtheme, or to be the last one standing wins!
GRATIS OutlineGoalsShort term goal is to pick up/put down cards of your chosen theme without exposing your theme toyour opponents.Mid-term goal is to study the cards your opponents put down to attempt to discern what their themeis by the guess round (if you choose to guess on the guess round).End goal is to collect ten cards of your chosen theme or eliminate all your opponents.RulesA deck of cards is shuffled by a volunteer, the volunteer then deals eleven cards (all backside up) toeach playerThe first ten cards shuffled will be used in the match, the eleventh card is flipped by all players, thehighest cards go before the lower cards (if multiple players get the same card, the duplicate cardsare confiscated and new cards are issued to the players who had them)These are the actions I can take when it is my turn.Action 1Place down one of the cards from my deck and pick up a new card from the stack. My opponents get to see the card I placed down and can gather information on what cards Iam aiming for based off the ones I got rid ofAction 2Place down one of the cards from my deck and pick up a card that was placeddown in front of an opponent. My opponents get to see one of the cards that will be added tomy deck and can use this information to get a better idea of what my theme is.After I play an action, I can choose to bluff/lie to my opponents about the card I got to attempt tothrow them off the trail of my theme.A player wins when they are the last one standing, or they have obtained ten cards of their theme.A player must always put down a card, but they get a choice in where they pick up their next card.Players must choose a theme upon first receiving their deck of cards and cannot change said themefor the remainder of the game. When picking up cards, players cannot pick up from their own set of placed cards. Once you place acard down, you cannot touch it for the remainder of the match unless it was picked up and played byand opponent.Players do not have to participate in a guess round if they feel they do not have enough informationto make a proper guess.
