Chapter 10     -Read over 10-4 the conflict techniques (understand these with examples) -What is the difference between distributive bargaining and Integrative?  Distributive- negotiation that seeks to divide up a fixed amount of resources: a win  lose situation. Integrative- negotiation that seeks one or more settlements that can create a win-win  situation -Define Conflict, give examples of conflict Traditional view- belief that all conflict is harmful and must be avoided Causes Poor communication Lack of openness  failure to respond to employee needs types functional- serve’s organization’s interests think of role of devil’s advocate dialectic- once one model is made, counterproposal also made and then both  debated. Then, one is adopted or they are integrated and monitored.
