Abstract
This paper will identify a subject organization, the population that this organization
serves, the services being offered, and describe how this organization stands out among the
others.

Community Services
The subject of this paper is an organization called Dogs on Deployment. Dogs on
Deployment is a national non-profit network providing a central network for American military
servicemembers to find volunteers willing to board their pets while they are deployed or have
other service commitments, making them unable to temporarily care for their pets. This
organization was founded in June 2011 by husband and wife, Shawn and Alisa Johnson. Shawn
served in the US Navy and Alisa served in the US Marine Corps.
To utilize this resource, a servicemember must first fill out an application and specify
