Genny DiDonato 9 October 2006 THP 311 Drew Chappell Warm- Up Activity: Character Cards Objective : I want the students to be able to place themselves into another person’s character trait (that may or may not relate to them); which will make them see where others are coming from. Assessment : I will know if the students met my requirement by their character trait role playing performance, as well as verbal feedback afterwards. Procedure : Materials needed - 1 character trait written on a slip of paper for each student, a situation scenario for every group of 3 students. Example: Character trait might be- bossy, worries to much, a follower, etc. & a Situation Scenario might be- You are carpooling to go to your cousin’s wedding, and on the way you get a flat tire. (You were already running late before the flat tire). Act out how your character with that specific trait may react in this situation. Introduction - Ask the students to think of their own personality traits, then ask for the students to think of their family members, friends, co- workers character traits. (I will
