Mehak Batool Napoleon in the 1800's We all remember the days that the directory ruled France. We were bankrupt and were drowning in debts, but the directory was completely ineffective. That's when Napoleon returned to Paris, bringing along with him a few victories we couldn't have hoped for anything better. For France had found her man, and her people a hero not to be matched. Seeing the inefficiency of the directory, and ruling them inadequate for rule. Bonaparte (along with a few allies) overthrew them on the 18th of Brumaire also known as the 9th of November.
