WEEK ONE ASSIGNMENT2Week One AssignmentThe topic of this paper will be to discuss the use of distribution property, like terms, and coefficients. Using these steps will show us how to remove parentheses and simplify our given expressions . Although the expressions may look complicated at first, following the steps given in text the problems are easy to complete. These applications can be used for calculating miles per gallon in your car to determining the distance from the Earth to the Sun. The real world applications of math are virtually endless, from balancing a check book to space travel. The following three expressions will be broken down into the simplest terms step by step.A)2a(a - 5) + 4(a - 5)2a^2 - 10a +4a - 202a^2 - 6a - 20Starting from the given expression, use distributionto remove the parentheses. Once this is done add like termsusing the coefficients. After this is done the problem cannot be broken down any further and is therefore simplified.
