Data mining, also known as knowledge discovery in data (KDD), is the process of uncoveringpatterns and other valuable information from large data sets. The data mining process involvesseveral steps from data collection to visualization to extract valuable information from largedata sets. It describes data through their observations of patterns, associations, andcorrelations. It usually consists of following steps:1.Business understanding:This can be the hardest part of the data mining process, andmost organizations fail to spend time on this important step. In this phase, the goal is tounderstand the business objectives and identify the business’s requirements. It includesconsideringdifferent datasets tend to expose new issues and challenges, and it isinteresting and instructive to have in mind a variety of problems when consideringlearning methods. Then, a detailed data mining plan is established to achieve thebusiness objectives and the data mining goals.
