Question 1A. Tissue is two or more cells that are grouped to perform a particular function. An organ is twoor more groups of tissue that come together to produce a specialized structure, that will then do aparticular task. Both the tissue and organs make up different levels of the body organization.Tissue is the third level, with other cells similar in size, function, and shape. They all cometogether and perform a function. The organ level is the fourth tier in the body organization. It ismade up of tissues with similarities that come together to form and perform specific functions.B. When viewing an epithelial tissue slide, I would expect to see cells that are closely packedtogether and lack blood vessels. Also, I would not expect to see any ECM since it is foundbeneath the cells in the structure known as the basement membrane. The main functions of theepithelial is to protect our body. It lines and covers all the bodies surfaces and cavities. Epithelialtissue protects the tissue underneath from mechanical and thermal injury. It is an immunedefense providing a barrier from invading microorganisms. Another aspect is that it forms glandsthat create secretions such as oil and hormones. It works as a transport into other tissues.
