Running Head: Comprehensive Career Assessment Paper 2 Abstract The purpose of this paper is to understand how to develop strategies for assessing abilities, interests, values, personality and other factors that contribute to career development; strategies for career development program planning, organization, implementation, administration, and evaluation; strategies for advocating for diverse clients’ career and educational development and employment opportunities in a global economy; strategies for facilitating client skill development for career, educational, and life-work planning and management; methods of identifying and using assessment tools and techniques relevant to career planning and decision making.

She is requesting a vocational evaluation to determine what other full-time career opportunities are available. She would like to continue to work with students if possible cause she loves helping them. Mrs. Martin-Sutherlin would like a career change to due feeling more stress with having to deal with the extra paperwork that is now required in the classroom. She is also overwhelmed with the stress that comes from more emphasis being placed on testing and data collection. Mrs. Martin-Sutherlin stated that over the past five years that with more focus being placed on testing and data collection, she has started to lose her love for teaching. She does not feel that she is able to act in the best interest of all his students with focus being placed on those students who are able to pass standardized testing. In addition, she feels she is not able to prepare her students for the real-world if focus is only placed on passing the test. After the evaluation, Mrs. Martin-Sutherlin will be provided with recommendations of careers to pursue. Background and Vocational History Kendria Martin-Sutherlin is a 37-year-old black male. She is 5’ 7” tall and weighs 190 pounds. She lives with her husband and two daughters at the address above. Their home is one- story, three bedrooms with an open floor plan. Once a week, Mrs. Martin-Sutherlin and her husband take the girls to the park to play. She is the coach for her school’s seventh grade girls’ basketball team. Mrs. Martin-Sutherlin
