Cleaning is defined as any instance of picking up items and putting them away in a drawer or cupboard as well as sweeping the floor using a broom/dustpan and wiping dirt from surfaces such as countertops and tables using a cloth to do so. Example: Using a broom to sweep the kitchen floor and a dustpan to remove any visible dirt and/or dust. Non Example: Using a baseball bat to imitate sweeping the floor during imaginative play. Tantrum What is a good definition for a Tantrum for this student? A tantrum is any instance of lying on the floor face down while screaming (audible from more than 4 feet away), kicking both feet, crying with tears, yelling “no” (audible from more than 4 feet away), swiping items from table using hands/arms and/or laying head down on table. Example: Yelling “no” repeatedly while swiping items from table using hands and arms. Non Example: Laying head down on the table during quiet time. Speaking out of turn What is a good definition for Speaking out of turn? Speaking out of turn is any instance of verbalizations that are not initiated by the teacher by asking the individual a question and/or are unrelated to the teacher’s instructions. Speaking out

Example: Student says “I am tired!” while teacher is instructing students what they need to do for homework. Non Example: Class is playing BINGO and student says “BINGO” without raising hand when he wins the game. ABC DATA SHEET INSTRUCTIONS: Record antecedent and consequence data for 3 seconds before and after the behavior. You may check off more than one from any category. Antecedent Behavior Consequence Demand situation-Teacher providing instruction to class. Speaking out of turn - Joseph asks, “What time is it?” Verbal redirection - Teacher tells Joseph to not talk out of turn and to raise his hand. Social attention- Class laughs at Joseph.
