Spiritual care in healthcare is providing a spiritual assessment to better understand the patients
spiritual needs so that accommodation's can be made accordingly to better assist the patient.
Whether dates need to be arranged, extra time is needed for certain treatments, or whatever the case
may be. Some patients may just need time to pray before or after interventions to have a more positive
outlook and healthcare experience. A healthcare provider with a good understanding of their patients
spiritual needs can also better understand the morals or reasons behind the patients decisions.
Ultimately, the healthcare provider being able to provide better care for the patient as a whole
(GCU,2020).
