Dana Tzegaegbe Dr. Hester Public Speaking November 2, 2012 I attended the 27 th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference in the Humanities Systems of Control/Modes of Resistance on November 2 nd 2012 at the University of West Georgia. The first panel I attended was on a subject that I was very unfamiliar with, which was, Canadian Studies. The moderator of the first panel was Maria Doyle of West Georgia, who also was one of the panelists. The first panelist was Lisa Connell, also of West Georgia, who began her speech on the history of Quebec and the French language. Throughout her speech I was honestly confused due to the fact that I do not have any prior knowledge of Quebec’s history, the French language, or on the authors she was speaking about. Furthermore, I was lost a majority of the time because I did not understand her French translations. Although I was confused for a majority of the time I did learn a few things about how Quebec functions as a French speaking province in the western hemisphere, some French authors, Haiti, and the cultural relationship between Haiti and Quebec.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
