School Counseling Informed Consent Richmond County Elementary School Introduction Richmond County Elementary School offers individual and small group counseling to all students in grades K-4. Parents, guardians’ teachers, or school support staff may request counseling services for a student. A student may also request counseling on his or her own time. The goal of the school counseling services are to help students have more success in their educational and personal lives. These sessions are available at no cost, but they are not replacements for mental health counseling that is needed for more serious problems. If a student needs medication, a diagnosis, or psychological counseling the school will not be responsible. Confidentiality Counseling is built on trust.
