2 The Killer Angels Book Review The book The Killer Angles contains historical events that took place during the Battle of Gettysburg. It narrates the three days when the battle took place, showing all the tactic and strategies used by the leaders from both sides. During the war, there were two army group that fought to gain peace and freedom. They include the Confederates lead by Robert Lee and the Union Army led by Joshua Chamberlain. The army on both was different in term of their religion, beliefs, culture and the trust in their leaders. Leadership from both sides was different as each leader portrayed the best interest of their army. At the end of the war, the Confederates were defeated, and the Union army won. The essay will explore the leadership of both the sides, the tactics and strategies used during the wars and key turning point moments that led to the victory of the Union Army. Leadership on both the Army sides The Confederate Army was presented by men with similar backgrounds. The army was represented as a united group of soldiers. These soldiers used the same language, customs and had the same religious beliefs (Shaara, 2019). Despite the fact that most of the most of them were unpaid, Robert Lee had developed faith in them that the soldier believed everything the General said. These soldiers could not write nor read, and their physical appearance showed how poor they were due to their torn clothes and lack of shoes. Despite the difficulties their morale was very high and believed in everything, they were told by their Generals (Shaara, 2019). As
