1 INTRODUCTION
Dear Student
Welcome to Information and Communication Technology Project.
Because this is a fully online module, you will need to use myUnisa to study and complete the
learning activities for this module. Visit the website for ICT3715 on myUnisa frequently. The
website for your module is ICT3715-21-Y].
1.1 Getting started
Owing to the nature of this module, you can read about the module and find your study material
online. Go to the website at and log in using your student number and
password. Click on "myModules" at the top of the web page and then on "Sites" in the top right
corner. In the new window, click on the grey Star icon next to the modules you want displayed
on your navigation bar. Close the window in the top right corner. Then select the option "Reload
to see your updated favourite sites"

Now go to your navigation bar and click on the module you
want to open.
Although ICT3715 is year module, please be aware that you are required to do a large amount
of work to develop the system that you will present at the end of the year. So, start as soon as
you have registered. All the assignments are compulsory and are designed to assist you in
developing the (practical software project) system you need to create. Any late submissions will
lead to a loss of marks and inhibit your chances of passing the module. We will be making
minimal use of myUnisa during the course of the year. However, you are still required to
regularly access myUnisa to read announcements. Microsoft Teams (included in your
Office365 license) will be used to manage our day to day interactions. We will post all the
assignment criteria as well as resource documents on th e module’s Teams site. You w ill find
dedicated assignment channel on the Teams site that you are required to use as a discussion
forum. You can also install a Teams app on your phone to stay in touch with the rest of the
class. The steps required to login and access MS Teams are explained on the Home Page for
this module on myUnisa.
