Fluid Balance Extracellular fluid (ECF) serves as an intermediary between the cells and external environment Two factors are regulated to maintain fluid balance in the body ECF volume must be closely regulated to help maintain blood pressure (why is blood pressure important?) Maintaining salt (what is “salt”?) balance is very important in long-term regulation of ECF volume (what is the short-term regulation of blood pressure?) What is the longer-term regulation? Which hormone primarily? ECF osmolarity must be closely regulated to prevent swelling or shrinking of cells Maintaining water balance is very important in regulating ECF osmolarity (why is osmolarity important?) Which hormone primarily regulates osmolarity?

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
