She is single income, with no child support. She is estranged from her immediate family. She overtly distressed and verging hysterics.2)Michael is a 44 year old man in the emergency room, he is having palpitations and severe anxiety. He has recently discovered that his wife of 15 years is having an extra martial affair with his business partner.3)Donna is at her family doctor’s office. She is a 60 year old home maker. Her husband has lost his job of 35 years from downsizing and will not receive pension, benefits or compensation. She and her husband have a mortgage and many medications that they are required to take. She is overwhelmed and frightened.4)Paul is a 33 year old transport truck driver. He was recently arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He is at his drug and alcohol counsellors’ office. He is angry and hostile.5)Maribelle is 23, she has recently moved to the Niagara Region to learn English and go to school. She speaks little English; has no family or friends in the region. While at her English class the ESL teacher discovers through conversation that the family she lives with is having another child and has decided that she cannot stay there anymore. She has two weeks to find somewhere else to live. Maribelle is crying and describes feeling of helplessness and defeat.
