Franklin Delano Roosevelt was able to form a good relationshipamongst the people of America, despite their doubt and hesitation when it came to ourgovernment. Through his words and tone, Roosevelt made a name for himself by addressing theproblems directly and firmly telling the people his course of action.While the Great Depression affected most everyone, Roosevelt provided a sense ofhumbleness in his speech by introducing himself as someone who was struggling along with thegeneral public, “In such a spirit on my part and on yours we face our common difficulties.”(Roosevelt address) He was able to make the people more inclined to listen by revealing that he
