English 140 Course Project Option #1 A Brief History of My Athletic Career Clifton Hoy Sports have been playing a major role in my life for as long as I can remember. I  would like to think that I have always been a somewhat athletic person, and my parents  have always tried to make me live a healthy lifestyle since I was a young child. One of  the ways they pushed me to do so was through pursuing athletics. They viewed it as a  way to stay healthy, and at the same time, give you the ability to learn some valuable life  lessons.  The three sports that I focused on during my youth have been golf, hockey, and  lacrosse. During my childhood, I also experimented with soccer and baseball but those  sports were rather dull to me, and quickly faded from my life. Each of the sports I played  while growing up were important to me in different ways, and each sport helped me  develop as a person in a different way.  Golf is a sport that is rather relaxing. You get to walk around, enjoy the fresh air,  and openly converse with the people you’re playing with. It is not a sport that is  particularly physically demanding, and for the most part, it is a sport where physical  fatigue is a relatively minimal non-factor. This is why I have found golf so appealing. It  is a time that I can dedicate strictly to myself, and I time I can use to collect my thoughts.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
